As this is my first post, I think it's only right to introduce myself. My name is Federico and I have always had two great passions: motorsport and 3D printing. After studying engineering in Padua, I now work in research and development at Techinit, a company specializing in the extrusion of technical pipes and the production of filaments for 3D printing.

My adventure with 3D printing began more than ten years ago. Right from the start, I wasn't satisfied with printing small components: my goal was much more ambitious... I wanted to print a motorcycle! After years of experimentation and a lot of determination, I managed to turn that idea into reality: today I have in my hands (or rather, under me) a 3D-printed motorcycle with two wheels, an electric motor, and the ability to get on it and ride it. It may not be a MotoGP bike, but for me it represents an extraordinary achievement that I am proud of.

What do you think?

Among my many passions, Formula 1 and racing certainly couldn't be left out. This year, driven by enthusiasm, I had the brilliant idea of buying a go-kart: the perfect companion for a few track days and for sharing fun and adrenaline with friends.

I chose a BRM 125 Monomarcia: an affordable kart that, in my opinion, is perfect for getting started and having serious fun on the track.

Over time, I realized that I could put what I had learned in the world of 3D printing and design to good use: the idea is to customize the kart, make it increasingly “tailored” to my needs, and perhaps experiment with alternative and innovative solutions.

If any of you would like to contribute ideas and suggestions to develop new projects together, you are more than welcome. I hope this post is just the first chapter of a long adventure to share with you.

See you soon!
